In my early role at Syscap, I learned and applied strong Ruby on Rails practices using tools like Rubocop, Brakeman, and Rubycritic. I worked with Solr for search features, contributed to BDD with RSpec, and gained experience with Git flow and Scrum. I designed core business logic for financial products—including interest calculations, monthly cuts, payments, and event processing—and built configurations for promissory-note calculations. I also participated in the 500 Startups program, contributing to the company's growth.

I led major projects focused on security, scalability, and performance using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, Docker, AWS, and RSpec. I designed the architecture and infrastructure for a core API microservice that enabled a new product launch. I improved engineering productivity by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, introducing Docker and feature flags, and upgrading Rails versions. I contributed to on-call rotations, production hotfixes, and organization-wide monitoring, and supported product innovation through shape-up pitches such as an AI chatbot to reduce support requests.
